Write it
A notice has a title and a message. The message can use simple formatting: bold, italics, lists and links. You can add pictures and one link with a label. If your plan includes AI help, you can draft the message from a few points, or shorten or translate it. Nothing is sent until you press send.
Choose who gets it
Pick one or more channels. For each channel you can send to:
- everyone in it and under it,
- only members, or only staff,
- only some roles, such as Lecturers,
- only some groups, such as the placement cell.
You can send only where your role allows it.
Set the priority
- Normal waits for the end of quiet hours and respects a muted channel.
- Important arrives at once and respects a muted channel.
- Critical arrives at once with a distinct sound, even on a muted channel.
- Emergency arrives at once with a distinct sound and is not held back by the sender limit.
Your role decides the highest priority you may use.
Ask for an acknowledgement
Turn on acknowledgement and set a deadline. People see an “I have read this” button. Reminders go to the people who have not confirmed, and after the deadline the role holders above the channel get a summary.
Send now, later or again
Send now, pick a date and time, or repeat the notice daily, weekly or monthly until an end date. You can edit or cancel a scheduled notice before it goes.
After sending
- Revise: editing a sent notice makes a new version. People see that it was revised.
- Withdraw: people who opened it see that it was withdrawn, and the record stays in the audit log.
